How to Use These Plant Stake SVG Files

These SVG files are designed for use with Cricut Maker, Silhouette Cameo (with a deep-cut blade), and laser cutters. Since plant stakes need to be sturdy, I recommend cutting them from chipboard or basswood using a Cricut Maker or a Glowforge laser cutter.

Chipboard is an affordable and accessible option, but be aware that it can become slightly droopy when exposed to moisture. To make these garden markers last longer, you can seal them with an outdoor-grade polyurethane spray.
For the plant names and monoline herb illustrations, heat transfer vinyl (HTV) works well. HTV adheres smoothly to wood and chipboard when pressed at the right temperature, creating long-lasting labels for your garden stakes.

Tips for Cutting & Applying Your Plant Stake Designs
- Cutting the stakes: Use a Cricut Maker or a laser cutter for clean, precise cuts. You need something that can cut a thicker materials.

- Applying the names/images: If using HTV, mirror the text before cutting and use a heat press or EasyPress to adhere it to the stake. You can also use permanent vinyl but it might be a little harder to apply and keep it on.

- Protecting your garden markers: To extend the life of your physical product, seal with a weatherproof clear coat like mod podge.
