Materials and Tools Needed
- A Cricut machine or similar – I am using my maker and a 12×12 mat to cut everything out
- 12 x 12 cardstock or adjust your sizing! I am using Bazzil 80 lb cardstock in grey, red, and blue but I always love to leave colors up to you. I am also using a metallic silver from Celebration Warehouse.
- Craft glue – I am using Bearly Arts
- A bone tool – optional for folding
- Tweezers – optional for helping place small pieces

Cricut Design Space Set Up
My suggestion is always to resize first to you paper size and size of the project. The lid is a great way to see the width of the box. Use the hexagon to give you an idea of how wide it will be. I always say to resize your SVG file first because you want to make sure everything resizes uniformly.
Next you can ungroup everything and change any lines (these will be on top of box pieces) to score lines. If you don’t have a scoring tool you can hide these or delete them but the box will be slightly harder to assemble. Make sure to attach them back to the appropriate piece with the paper clip.
Next you can send to cut, I used the medium cardstock setting but this will always depend on your machine and blade.
Assembly of the Rocket SVG
Step One: Box Base
Starting with the longer hexagon base, you will fold on all of the score lines.
Next, glue the side flap to the other side to create the hexagon tube.
Attach the bottom flaps to the hexagon base to create the full box bottom.
Repeat the steps for the top piece.
Step Two: Cone Top
Start again by folding all the score lines.
Next, attach the sides to create a cone.
Attach the hexagon bottom, this might be a little bit more time consuming because you can’t come in from the other side but patience will go a long way with dry time.
Attach this cone to the top box hexagon (the shorter one)
Step Three: The Bottom Box
This piece is mostly for stabilization, you will fold on the score lines and attach with craft glue to make an angled box, we will flip this over and attach this to the bottom of the long rocket part.
Step Four: The Legs and Windows
The legs you will fold in and glue the bottom half of them together to create almost like a curved triangle. Then with the lid on (so your placement is correct) you can alternate windows and legs.
For the legs I placed them aligned to the ground and glued to the side.
Once you have all your detail pieces on your box is complete and you have such a cute space themed party favor box!!
